Cape Town Carnival networking reception
Kick off your FIGO 2025 experience in style at the Cape Town Carnival networking reception, taking place immediately after our Welcome Ceremony on Sunday 5 October. This lively event will set the tone for an unforgettable Congress, offering the perfect atmosphere to reconnect with colleagues and meet new peers over canapés and local wines. Enjoy an evening filled with music, movement, and vibrant performances – from marimba bands to gumboot dancers and roaming entertainers that bring the rhythm and energy of South Africa to life.
Gala dinner – Celebrating the Diversity of Africa
The Gala Dinner is the highlight of FIGO’s social calendar, join us on Wednesday 8 October for an evening that celebrates the rich culture of Africa. Enjoy a three-course meal inspired by traditional cuisine, shared in the company of colleagues from around the world. The evening will feature live music, dynamic performances, and unique touches. Guests are invited to wear formal attire that reflects their own heritage for a night of celebration and connection.
Run for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
On behalf of FIGO Cape Town 2025 and the FIGO Committee on Breast Health, we invite you to join us for the Greenpoint parkrun for Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Saturday 4 October 2025. The 5km route takes in the Green Point Park, adjacent sports fields and Cape Town Stadium precinct, is essentially flat with good paved pathways and 750m of grass. It’s free to join and you can walk, jog or run.
The FIGO group will meet at the starting point at 07:30 on Saturday 4 October 2025. Sign up when registering to let us know you’re coming.
