Bursary applications are now open!
Making Congress more accessible
We are committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent deserving researchers from attending the Congress. Our new bursary programme provides funding for those who may otherwise be unable to participate. To be eligible for a bursary applicants must have an abstract accepted to the scientific programme, you can also apply with a pending late-breaking abstract application. Priority will be given to low or lower-middle-income countries, as well as nurses, midwives, students, and trainees.

- Bursary applications open: Monday 24 March 2025
- Bursary applications close: Wednesday 30 April 2025
- Notifications to applicants: Monday 2 June 2025
Criteria for bursary applications
To be eligible for a bursary, all of the below must apply to you:
- You would be unable to attend the conference without financial support.
- You are the nominated presenting author of a successful oral or ePoster abstract or pending late-breaking abstract submission.
- The conference will be relevant and beneficial to your work and/or studies.
- You come from a low or lower-middle income country, and/or a GAVI eligible country, and/or you are currently a nurse, midwife or trainee.

If you have not already had an abstract accepted for oral or ePoster presentation, you can submit a late-breaking abstract to be considered for a bursary.

Amount and use
Bursaries can offer financial support for the successful applicant’s travel, accommodation or Congress registration by providing a set allowance. Providing a stipend allows us to create two tiers; local and international, offering more to international delegates to allow for accommodation and a higher cost of travel as follows:
- US $500 bursary for successful applicants local to the region.
- US $1000 for those travelling internationally.
The allocated stipend for bursaries can be claimed by successful applications after the event.
